Battery Impedance Meter for high-voltage applications
High-voltage battery measuring device for development and production, for troubleshooting, analysis, qualification, testing and diagnosis of high-voltage batteries up to 900V, on-board batteries (12/24/48 V) and single cells
The BRS High Voltage Battery Meter BIM-HV-B combines the functions of a battery tester and a battery analyzer and enables the quick test of high voltage batteries and accumulators. The impedance measurement is divided into three ranges (10/100/1000 mΩ). Voltage measurement is available in two ranges (100 V and 900 V). The frequency range for spectral impedance measurements is from 1 Hz to 1 kHz.
Applications of the High-Voltage Battery Measuring Device BIM-HV-B:
- Measurement of the battery voltage in the range 0 V to 900 V
- Measurement of the spectral (complex) internal resistance between 1 Hz and 1 kHz
- Graphical representation of the locus (Nyquist diagram)
- Determination of model parameters (Ls, Rs, Cp, Rp)
- Offline analysis of spectral measurements
- Data output as a log file or CSV file

BRS Messtechnik, based in Stuttgart, Germany, specializes in battery measurement technology and manufactures both battery measurement instruments and battery test systems. The compact battery testers operate independently of technology and can test batteries at cell and module level as well as accumulators quickly and effectively.
The instruments are suitable for use in development for suitability analyses, in manufacturing for quality control as well as in the field of reuse to determine aging processes. In addition, customized measuring devices and modules are also manufactured.
