The PC IPC 547G
By using two or four processor cores, the Multi Core processors are ideal for multi-threaded application programs and multitasking. Multiple demanding applications - such as visualisation applications with sophisticated graphics or programs that perform extensive calculations - can be run simultaneously to improve system response time. Thanks to energy-optimised multi-core technology and excellent energy-saving properties, the Core processors allow highly complex applications to be run even at elevated temperatures of up to 40°C without performance degradation.
The SIMATIC IPC547G is pre-configured for multi-core technology with Intel Core processors and Microsoft operating systems and offers higher performance and better multitasking in an industrial environment. The multi-display architecture with its modern desktop and application management functions supports working with multiple screens and thus significantly increases productivity. The SIMATIC IPC547G with its optional dual-head graphics card (PCI Express x16) is optimised for industrial multi-display environments.
In addition, the SIMATIC IPC547G allows you to use the two or three existing onboard graphics interfaces in combination with the optional dual-head graphics card, which enables operation with up to five monitors.
