With an accuracy of ±0.20 °C, channel-to-channel isolation of 1,000 V, built-in self-test functions and independent 24-bit ADCs per channel, the VTI Instuments EX1401 offers exceptional measurement performance and repeatability. Its ability to acquire data at 20,000 samples/second/channel enables it to be used in high-speed applications with temperature transients. It can be used in a wide range of applications including automotive and battery testing, engine testing, HALT/HASS and health monitoring. It can be used in any test environment where temperature measurement accuracy and repeatability are required. Parallel data storage and autonomous operating modes further extend the utility of this versatile instrument.
AMETEK VTI Instruments builds its test and measurement instruments on the idea that a test and measurement system is only as good as the signals it receives. The VTI Instruments EX1401 offers fully integrated signal conditioning, including independent cold junction compensation (CJC) per channel. Open Thermocouple Detection (OTD) further improves signal quality. The industry-standard LXI interface allows the EX1401 to be distributed and positioned close to the device under test, reducing implementation and support costs associated with long cable runs. This also reduces the implementation and support costs associated with long cables and improves measurement accuracy. The comprehensive, built-in self-test function reports instrument status and problems, maximising performance during runtime.
Unlike other thermocouple and voltage meters, the EX1401 from VTI Instruments offers PoE+ and flexible DC power options for mobile applications. Fully isolated channels with up to 1000V channel-to-channel isolation deliver both power and data over a single cable. Simply place the unit anywhere in the test chamber or around the test wing and connect it to the network. The EX1401 also supports the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP), allowing customers to synchronise measurements from many devices throughout the testing application. A full-featured, integrated web interface provides configuration and data displays, simplifying set-up and use. EXLab Express, VTI's intuitive data acquisition software, is included with each unit and eliminates programming.
