High-purity platinum counter electrodes for electrochemical measurement technology
The counter electrodes of the BASi MW-xxxx series are made of high-purity platinum with a minimum purity of 99.9%. They are used in electrochemical measurement technology as stable and inert counter electrodes.
Selecting the appropriate counter electrode for your measurement setup
The choice of counter electrode depends on the specific application and the type of cell used. The platinum wire electrodes of the MW-xxxx series feature a wire diameter of 0.5 mm and a gold-plated brass connector. Electrical connection to the measuring instrument is made via alligator clips or 0.04 inch connectors.
Various designs for different requirements
The electrodes are available in different lengths and configurations. In addition to straight platinum wires with or without PCTFE housing, coiled versions and platinum mesh electrodes are also available. This allows the counter electrodes to be optimally adapted to the respective measurement and test setup.

Applications of the MW-xxxx Series Counter Electrodes
MW-1032: Platinum wire counter electrode for general electrochemical measurements as a counter electrode in three-electrode systems (e.g. voltammetry, amperometry, potentiometry).
MW-1033: Coiled platinum counter electrode with increased effective surface area, suitable for applications with higher current demand and stable current return.
MW-4130: Platinum wire counter electrode for defined measurement cells and cell stands, typically used in laboratory setups for voltammetry, amperometry, and potentiometry.
MW-4132: Platinum mesh electrode with a large surface area (500 mm²) for applications with higher currents or low polarization; can be used as a counter or working electrode.
