Dictionary / Glossary
Technical contexts are complex and can only be understood if you have the necessary basic knowledge and are familiar with the special technical terms.
It is difficult to maintain an overview here, especially when it is a very complex technical field. We have a very wide range of different products from high frequency devices to software. Here we would like to offer you a reference book that allows you to look up individual terms quickly and easily.
Have fun!

Bidirectional AC Source/Load
A bidirectional AC source/load supplies adjustable AC voltage to the device under test and absorbs AC active power during reverse power flow. Depending on the device design, the absorbed energy is dissipated as heat via internal load paths or fed back into the supply grid through a regenerative stage.
Bidirectional DC-Source/Load
A bidirectional DC source/load is a DC test instrument that can both supply and load devices under test. It is used to test batteries, energy storage systems, chargers or DC/DC converters in both energy flow directions.
Electronic DC Load
An electronic DC load is a controllable sink for direct current. It loads DC sources such as power supplies, batteries or DC/DC converters with a defined current, defined power or dynamic load profiles.

The Output voltage is the Specification of the electrical voltage in volts that is available to the consumer at the output of a power source (e.g. power supply unit).
VAC (Volt Alternating Current)
VAC describes the voltage of an alternating current that periodically changes direction.
CW (Continuous Wave)
What is CW?In electronic measurement and test engineering, the abbreviation CW usually stands for Continuous Wave.
