Dictionary / Glossary
Technical contexts are complex and can only be understood if you have the necessary basic knowledge and are familiar with the special technical terms.
It is difficult to maintain an overview here, especially when it is a very complex technical field. We have a very wide range of different products from high frequency devices to software. Here we would like to offer you a reference book that allows you to look up individual terms quickly and easily.
Have fun!

AWES
AWES (Arbitrary Waveform Editing Software) is a PC software for creating and editing arbitrary signals for arbitrary/function generators. The software simplifies the generation, modification, and import of waveforms (e.g., via CSV) and is used, among other things, with arbitrary and multi-channel function generators from GW Instek—ideal for fast signal preparation in test and measurement.
DWR
DWR (Dielectric Withstand Resistance) denotes the high-voltage insulation test (HiPot). During this test, a test specimen (DUT) is subjected for a short time to an elevated AC or DC test voltage to detect breakdowns or excessive leakage current. Objective: proof of electrical safety and the required insulation strength.
Gain/Phase Measurements
Gain/Phase measurements determine how much a system amplifies a signal (gain) and how much it shifts its phase (phase) – essential for analyzing stability and dynamics.

Output voltage
The Output voltage is the Specification of the electrical voltage in volts that is available to the consumer at the output of a power source (e.g. power supply unit).
Coaxial cable
A coaxial cable is a two-pole cable specially designed for the transmission of high-frequency (HF) signals.
