Test Systems
Test systems include all measuring instruments, a power supply, the cabling between the individual devices via GPIB / LAN and the DUT (Device under Test), as well as a normal PC.
Test systems from LXinstruments can be
- modularly configured via our Open Test Platform (OTP2) as well as
- tailored to your specific needs.
Our test systems have an attractive price-performance ratio due to the high standardization rate. Ideally, our software solutions complement each other, ranging from the operator environment to the evaluation.
We are looking forward to your call.

Test systems are used in a wide variety of applications and industries. Test systems check whether electronic assemblies, devices, etc. comply with the defined functions and parameters even under load.
What types of functional tests are there?
- Run-In:
Under continuous temperature change, it is tested whether assemblies remain efficient in their defined temperature range and do not fail. - Burn-In:
Here, material and component weaknesses are to be detected by simulating assembly aging during the test. - HASS (Highly accelerated stress screen):
Before final assembly of the assemblies takes place, they are again subjected to a mechanical stress test at a stable temperature. - HALT (Highly accelerated life test):
The test specimens are subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations and mechanical stresses during the production process.
Modular functional test systems can be configured directly in consultation with our colleagues in a modular system. Due to the standardized components, an attractive price/performance ratio is realized.
Individualized solutions are also possible, so that even existing test systems can be expanded as desired.
The software - a central element
The central element of functional test systems is the applied software. LXinstruments has extensive and powerful software modules that are optimally coordinated with each other and designed for all requirements.
1. Test Sequencer Common Operator Environment (TSCOE)
TSCOE is the graphical user and operator interface that communicates with the automation technology used.
2. Test management software (TMS)
Diagnoses and analyzes electronic components and is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized systems.
3. Magpie
is an advanced evaluation and data mining application to generate reports and trend analysis based on the selected data.
4. OPC UA interface
It enables a standardized connection of all test systems to a
- Process control system (guideline computer)
- Automation and handling systems as well as
- PLC (programmable logic controller).
Of course, there are also test systems that have other issues, such as battery or fuel cell tests, where electrochemical processes and impedance measurements are the focus. More information and products on this can be found in our electrochemistry and battery measurement technology sections.
