The EN50191 standard regulates the design of a safe workplace. During electrical safety testing, contact by the user must be prevented, as dangerous voltages are generated during the test.
A test hood is mandatory for test equipment that can emit potentially dangerous voltages or currents to the operator.
This generally applies to:

• Voltages ≥ 60 V AC
• Voltages ≥ 25 V DC
• Current ≥ 3 mA AC
