Battery Impedance Meters
Impedance measurements can be used to draw conclusions about the quality and performance of a battery cell. The impedance of an electrochemical cell is frequency dependent. Therefore, three parts are distinguished, each representing a specific property:
- High frequency (1 kHz), measurement of the AC resistance shows the condition of the electrolyte
- Middle frequency (10 Hz to 100 Hz) represents the electrodes
- Low frequency (0,1 Hz to 1 Hz), measurement of DC resistance gives information about diffusion effects
Universal battery test centers additionally offer the possibility of capacity and temperature measurements. This allows further information to be obtained about the state of charge and discharge as well as the behavior of a battery cell under various temperature influences.
High-Voltage Battery Measuring Device
High-voltage battery meters are used for precise voltage measurement and for specifying the internal resistance of accumulators and on-board batteries. The devices are specially designed for:
- Troubleshooting in development and production
- Analyzing operating behavior in test phases and
- Rapid diagnosis during maintenance and service work
Multimeter / Battery Tester
The combination devices are ideal for different types of battery measurements. They are characterized by high measurement accuracy and have an integrated LCD display. The special features include:
- Saving the measurement results in an internal data storage.
- Readout of the stored data via a USB/RS232 interface for further analysis on a computer
- Handy desktop design, therefore also suitable for mobile application
Accessories
Furthermore, we carry numerous accessories for our battery measuring technology, e.g.:
- Multiplexer for switching individual channels to a subsequent measuring device without reconnecting
- Numerous measuring leads in 4-wire or 6-wire technology
- Measuring cable with an integrated Pt1000 temperature sensor in TO92 housing for temperature measurements
- Round cell adapter for inserting and directly measuring cylindrical cells of formats 18650, 21700 and 26650
