Hg/HgO reference electrode for alkaline solutions
9.2 cm long, 6 mm outer diameter
The Hg/HgO reference electrode from BASi is 9.2 cm long and has an outer diameter of 6 mm. The electrolyte solution used is 1 M sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide solution*. This electrode is used exclusively in alkaline solutions. To ensure chemical resistance in solutions with a high pH value, the electrode is made of polymethylpentene plastic. This belongs to the class of polyolefins and its chemical properties are similar to those of polypropylene. The electrode has a ceramic tip. Each electrode is supplied with an O-ring. The electrodes must be stored in a dark and cool place.
* 1M NaOH electrolyte solution is not included and must be prepared and added on site.
