20 years of LXinstruments: 2006–2026
From a small spin-off to a family of companies
Even success stories start small and take a different course than originally envisaged. This was certainly the case for us: 20 years ago, Roland Blaschke founded a small company with the aim of rolling out the LXI standard (LAN Extension for Instrumentation) onto the market.
Although LXI has only gained limited acceptance, the company – which was founded specifically for this purpose at the time – has nevertheless written a success story: In the beginning, there were only solutions for traditional functional testing; today, the portfolio also includes bespoke power systems, electrical safety tests, solutions for electrochemistry and semiconductor testing, as well as RF measurement technology. In addition to the bespoke solutions, customers particularly appreciate the fact that LXinstruments supports them every step of the way – from consultancy through to design and manufacturing, right through to training and technical support. The scope of these solutions ranges from small devices right through to complete system integration.
Today, LXinstruments is a small family-run business with around 60 employees from ten different countries. As a growing company needs space to flourish, LXinstruments moved into new headquarters in 2021, tailored to the company’s requirements. As well as offering a pleasant working environment, the new headquarters not only provides the technical facilities required for LXinstruments’ work but also space for further growth.
For us, Constanze and Roland Blaschke, this success story is largely down to the staff at LXinstruments, who “have tackled every challenge with passion and overcome them with great reliability. And, of course, it is down to our customers, who have been providing us with new challenges continuously for 20 years.”
