Associated Research HypotULTRA®: Electrical Safety Testing for Production and Test Laboratories
When multiple electrical safety tests need to be combined reliably in production or test laboratories, the Associated Research HypotULTRA® Series provides a common platform for the complete test sequence. Depending on the model, it combines AC and DC hipot, insulation resistance, ground continuity, and ground bond testing. This reduces instrument changes and supports reproducible test processes.
Current 7800, 7804, 7850, and 7854 models now feature an extended insulation resistance measurement range of up to 200 GΩ. This enables testing of high-resistance insulation systems beyond the previous 50 GΩ range. For high-current ground bond testing, the 7804 and 7854 provide up to 40 A, while the 7800 and 7854 support AC hipot applications up to 500 VA.
For production testing, the HypotULTRA® Series supports traceability through internal data storage and barcode integration.
SmartGFI® and Safety Interlock enhance safety at high-voltage test stations, while FailCHEK® and Charge-LO® help detect common errors in the test sequence.
Standard communication interfaces enable integration into automated test systems. For multi-point testing, the test setup can be expanded with the modular SC6540 multiplexer.
