The GPIB-LAN adapter

Use the low-cost Prologix GPIB-LAN converter to access instruments with GPIB interface via the LAN network. Control the instrument, download screen displays and measurement results from oscilloscopes, logic analysers and other measuring instruments with GPIB connection. The Prologix GPIB-LAN converter uses the same command set as the Prologix GPIB-USB converter. The converter is a network device and therefore does not need any special drivers.

The Prologix GPIB-LAN converter turns any computer with a network interface into a GPIB controller or device. In controller mode, the Prologix GPIB-LAN Converter can remotely control measuring instruments. In device mode, the Prologix GPIB-LAN Converter turns the computer itself into a GPIB peripheral, allowing data and screenshots to be downloaded from the instrument display. In beiden Modi, interpretiert der Prologix GPIB-LAN Konverter die vom Computer erhaltenen High-Level Kommandos und konvertiert diese entsprechend auf das Low-Level GPIB Handshake Protokoll.
