We are taking our Christmas break from 23.12.24 - 01.01.2025. We will be available at your service from 2.1.2025.

Behind the scenes

We want to take responsibility!

For ourselves and our actions, for what our actions trigger and, at least a little, also for people who are a little less fortunate in life than we are.

The big task of the future will be to make the ecological transition to a less stressful way of life and to reduce the burden on our beautiful planet.

SUSTAINABILITY in Nufringen

Talking doesn't help - we take action!

Therefore

  • we have a consistently ecological new company building
  • we afford plenty of green space for people and animals
  • we offer job bikes, support the Deutschlandticket and the Bahncard
  • we think PV systems, electric vehicles and heat pumps are normal
  • we are currently calculating our CO2 footprint (Scope 1+2)

SUSTAINABILITY in Tanzania

Our latest project “Solar lights for Tanzania” will hopefully improve the lifes of less privileged families and also help the environment. We work closely and on a voluntary basis with the Herrenberg-based association time2help, which sees itself as a provider of opportunities for children, young people and families.

We recently launched a solar lamp project together. The aim is to study, work or cook by light in the evening without polluting the environment and people with kerosene.

We'll keep at it and hopefully soon be able to equip even more families with solar lights.

Sponsorships in Tanzania

The Living Water Children’s Centre (LWCC) - Further details at time2help.

The Living Water Children's Center is an orphanage that was founded in 2003 by the Kimaro family. Today it is a loving home for over 100 children (aged 4 to 17) of the worst backgrounds, regardless of religion, skin color or tribal affiliation. Many of these children are AIDS orphans, others have been neglected, rejected, mistreated or abused by their families.

The Living Water Children's Center is located in Ngulelo, 6 km east of Arusha. It is a charitable organization registered with the Tanzanian Ministry of Home Affairs and is financed exclusively by donations. There is no government support for private orphanages in Tanzania!

Neema Charles

Many Tanzanians are not born in hospitals, therefore they are often not officially registered. Especially in the case of orphans, the information is often very incomplete. We follow the philosophy of the LWCC, which treats certain information confidentially for legal and ethical reasons. We also only have limited information about our new sponsored child Neema:

Neema was born in May 2003 and has been living at the LWCC for several years. LXinstruments has sponsored her accommodation and education from the very beginning. During a visit from time2help, we spoke to Neema in person and asked her about her plans.

Thanks to her ambitious study schedule, it still seems possible that she will achieve her goal of becoming a doctor. We keep our fingers crossed for Neema and are happy to continue supporting her.
