Photovoltaic project in Tanzania: LIGHT BY SUNLIGHT!
Together with the time2help association, which aims to improve the future prospects of children & families in Arusha (Tanzania), we are currently launching a new photovoltaic project.
We want to give families access to solar energy, specifically LIGHT!
When the sun goes down, people in Tanzania currently work, study, read or... with kerosene lamps or candlelight. This is not only expensive, but also extremely bad for people's health and for nature.
Families are currently being introduced to 2 solar lamp models in a pilot project, which are either permanently installed or portable. Families can choose one or both options. The lamps are initially pre-financed by us and paid back in 12-month installments, with explicit care being taken to ensure that the existing financial burden does not increase. After just one year, both people and the environment will be better off than before thanks to the kerosene saved:
Financially, because the monthly costs for kerosene are eliminated
Health-related, as kerosene vapors are toxic and can lead to respiratory diseases, even in children
Environmentally friendly due to less soot emissions
The start-up funding for the project is being provided by our group of companies because we firmly believe that people and the environment can be helped here. Much more details can be found at time2help. You can also find more exciting projects there.
The friends of time2help and we are happy to welcome more committed people and companies.
