Precise signal source for professional measurement & test environments
The arbitrary function generators of the GW Instek AFG-3000 series are designed for development laboratories, production and training. They generate standard and user-defined signal waveforms and support functional testing, compliance testing, EMC pre-compliance and quality assurance. In test benches with HiPot testers and electrical safety systems they provide reproducible test signals for insulation tests and other high voltage tests.

In development, the instruments enable realistic signal profiles for the evaluation of circuits and assemblies. In production they serve as the central signal source in automated test systems and help to stabilise test sequences in quality assurance. Training laboratories use the series to demonstrate modern arbitrary signal generation and safe test methods in a clear and practical way.

Arbitrary functions and convenient operation
The AFG-3000 series combines built-in standard waveforms with powerful arbitrary functions. The Direct Waveform Reconstruction function allows recorded waveforms from compatible GW Instek oscilloscopes to be transferred directly. A clear colour display with context-related support simplifies operation, even in complex measurement setups.

Integration into automated test systems
Using standard interfaces and common command sets, the AFG-3000 series can be integrated seamlessly into automated test environments, from laboratory setups to end-of-line test stands. In high voltage test systems, the arbitrary function generator acts as a flexible signal source for a wide range of HiPot testers and safety systems.
