Product Information "Arbitrary Function Generator | AFG-30xx-Serie"

GW Instek AFG-30xx Series
Arbitrary Function Generator and Function Generator
with Isolated Outputs for Laboratory, Development and Test Systems

When standard solutions are no longer sufficient

In many laboratory, development and test environments, conventional function generators reach functional and conceptual limits—especially when complex signal shapes, electrical isolation or flexible test setups are required. The GW Instek AFG-30xx series is designed for applications that demand more than simple standard waveforms, providing advanced signal capabilities, electrical isolation and adaptable test configurations. Precise signal generation for demanding measurement and test tasks. The AFG-30xx series supports the generation of sine, square, triangle and arbitrary waveforms with high sample rate, 16-bit resolution and wide bandwidth. Standard test signals as well as complex, application-specific waveforms can be generated reliably for development, verification and automated test sequences.

Galvanically isolated outputs for safe test setups

The galvanically isolated outputs and channels of the AFG-30xx series enable safe signal generation in floating circuits, with differing reference potentials and in power electronic assemblies. This allows measurement and test setups to be implemented in which ground loops, potential shifts and unintended coupling are reliably avoided.

Arbitrary functions and modulation for realistic signal simulation

With comprehensive arbitrary waveform functions, integrated modulation modes, a waveform library and a harmonic generator, the AFG-30xx series supports targeted simulation of real signal waveforms and defined interference profiles. Test scenarios can be reproduced that are difficult or impossible to achieve with conventional function generators.

Suitable for modular and automated test systems

Thanks to the available interfaces and support for external control, the AFG-30xx series can be easily integrated into existing measurement and test software. The instruments are suitable as permanently integrated signal sources in automated test systems. Defined signals can be generated under software control and reliably repeated, both in development and in production.
