Huntron Tracker HU-2800 Series
Tracker for testing assembled boards in the switched-off state
20 - 2 kHz, 200m - 20 V, 10 - 100 kOhm
The Huntron HU-2800 Tracker is designed to complement conventional troubleshooting test instruments with specialized methods. The proven power-OFF test, also known as analog signature analysis, eliminates the risk of fault propagation in existing damage, which often occurs when the power supply is activated for fault isolation. Huntron Trackers are suitable for today's printed circuit boards that combine analog and digital technology.
The Huntron Tracker HU-2800 offers variable configuration of test parameters and approximately 100 possible combinations of voltage, source resistance, and frequency. It is an excellent tool to complement an automated Huntron Prober in the diagnostic process. The Tracker produces a current-limited AC signal that is applied to the test object at two points. The resulting current flow causes a vertical signature deflection, while the stimulating voltage causes the horizontal deflection. The resulting U/I diagram represents the health status of the circuit board under test. An analysis of the signature shape by the board tester can provide quick indications of the condition of the component or the type of fault cause.
The Huntron Tracker HU-2800 Series Workstation Software The Huntron Workstation Software is included in the scope of delivery. It automates analog signature analysis (ASA). A test plan based on individual tests records signatures, compares them with stored reference signatures, and displays the test results. A test plan created by an expert can be saved and used by other employees for troubleshooting, allowing special knowledge to be shared among all users.
