Magna-Power XR Series: Compact High Power for Demanding DC Applications

The Magna-Power XR Series combines state-of-the-art microprocessor technology with a combination of high and medium frequency power amplifiers. This enables a quick response of the control and smaller power pack sizes. Thanks to the current control of the output stages, the power supply units are less susceptible to overloads and faults. The DC sources are available in the size of 2-10 kW. This makes the Magna Power XR power supplies one of the most powerful power supplies available on the market. The sources are only 2 U high. The power supplies can be used as high-performance battery chargers.

Safe Control and Flexible Parallel Operation

All communication interfaces are optically separated from the output voltages. The reference potential of the control contacts is earth. The output voltage is set via a current-controlled H-bridge, which serves as self-protection for the output stages in the event of a rapidly occurring overload. The master slave function ensures problem-free parallel operation of the power supplies.

Then we recommend the Magna-Power SLx Series, offering up to 10 kW, 10 kV and 600 A in just 1U, combined with modern MagnaLINK™ control and enhanced interfaces. If you require significantly more power or higher current, we recommend the Magna-Power TS Series. With up to 50 kW and 4,000 A, it provides substantially more output than the XR Series, while its maximum voltage range is 6 kV instead of 10 kV.
