Load (electronic)
What is an electronic load?
An electronic load, also known as a current sink, simulates a load resistor at the output of a power source.
How does an electronic load work?
The load current can be adjusted variably and is controlled electronically. Electronic loads are used to test batteries, rechargeable battery packs, fuel cells and other DC sources. AC loads are used for testing devices such as transformers, alternators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
Suitable products for simulating load resistors can be found in the electronic loads category.
