LIST
What does LIST mean?
LIST (List Mode) means that a measuring or test instrument (such as a signal generator) does not operate with just a single fixed frequency or amplitude. Instead, it automatically switches through a predefined list of values. This list can include frequencies, amplitudes, phases, or other parameters.
A typical example is a LIST sweep measurement, where the generator or analyzer sequentially steps through all values in the list in order to capture measurement data systematically.
Examples of an application include:
Frequency lists for the characterization of filters or antennas, Amplitude lists for amplifier linearity testing, Combined frequency and level lists in automated production testing, calibration and more.
