GW Instek MFG‑2000 Series – Multi‑Channel Function Generator with Arbitrary Function, Pulse Generator & RF Signal Source
Compact Multi‑Signal Generator
The MFG‑2000 Series from GW Instek combines an arbitrary waveform function generator (AFG), RF signal source, pulse generator and – depending on the model – an integrated power amplifier in one compact multi‑channel function generator. Ideal for test systems, quality assurance and standard compliance in laboratory and production environments.
The series targets function generator applications with digital arbitrary waveforms, classic waveform types (e.g., sine) and offers multiple channels for parallel signals.
Flexible Signal Delivery
Multiple parallel usable outputs (input/output coupling) allow flexible signal delivery for development, verification and automated test environments (ATE), including end‑of‑line testing.
Information can be exchanged rapidly via USB and remote control. This supports engineering and service in everyday measurement technology.
Frequency and amplitude ranges cover high‑frequency, frequency sweeps and precise measurements; the device architecture is designed for performance and RF technology.
Benefit in Daily Testing
The multi‑channel architecture enables synchronized signals, correlations and coupling – from timed pulses/pulse sequences to combined RF and arbitrary signals. This simplifies test sequences in electrical safety, isolation and functional testing – seamlessly integrated into existing ATE test stands.
As an arbitrary generator and arbitrary signal generator the device also serves as a source for complex waveforms.
Versatile Signal Forms
Modulations such as AM, FM, PM, FSK and PWM as well as sweep, burst and trigger cover typical test cases. Depending on the type, a frequency counter is included.
Custom waveforms can be generated with the software; with DWR signal forms are reconstructed directly from GW Instek oscilloscopes. This allows users to quickly find suitable profiles and display results comfortably.
Practically Integrated
Floating outputs relative to the device chassis simplify measurement setups on potential‑free circuits and avoid ground conflicts in multi‑device operation.
Thanks to modular technology, a scalable module selection is available – from the pulse generator to the signal source for electromagnetic tests.
