Linearity
What is a Linearity?
Linearity defines the sub-category in measuring system analysis for quality assurance. To investigate linearity, measurements are carried out on several test specimens while maintaining exactly the same conditions according to a defined procedure. The mean value of the recorded measured values is then calculated for each test specimen with high accuracy, transparency and reproducibility in mind. The difference between the true value and the calculated mean value is then determined for each test specimen. From this difference, conclusions can be drawn about the capability and suitability of the measuring equipment used, ultimately ensuring consistent performance and reliable decision-making in demanding practical applications.
