Voltage Sensor / Converter with Galvanic Isolation | IsoBlock V-1c Series

Product Information "Voltage Sensor / Converter with Galvanic Isolation | IsoBlock V-1c Series"

IsoBlock V-1c Series
Galvanically Isolated Single-Channel Differential Voltage Transducer
for High-Voltage Differential Voltage Measurements on DAQ Systems, Data Loggers, and Test Benches

Measure High Differential Voltages – With Galvanic Isolation to Decouple the Measurement Chain
The Verivolt IsoBlock V-1c is a galvanically isolated differential voltage transducer (isolated signal transducer/signal conditioning) for measurement tasks in interference-prone environments such as power electronics, inverter test benches, and drive test stands. It scales high differential voltages to a DAQ-compatible output signal and galvanically decouples the measurement point from the measurement system to reduce typical measurement issues caused by ground loops, equalizing currents, and common-mode interference.

Key Technical Data at a Glance:

  • Input Ranges: Standard versions for DC/AC measurement ranges up to 1.5 kV (custom ranges available)
  • Triple Galvanic Isolation (3-Way Galvanic Isolation): Channel-to-Channel, Primary-to-Secondary, Signal-to-Power
  • Isolation Withstand (Primary ↔ Secondary): 1,500 V sustained and 5,000 V (1 minute)
  • Accuracy: depending on version ±(0.2% of reading + 0.005% of range) or ±(0.1% of reading + 0.005% of range)
  • Bandwidth & Output: 100 kHz (-3 dB), 500 kHz option; output as a differential pair, output voltage depending on version ±10 V / ±5 V / 7 VAC

Stable Under Potential Shifts, Ground Loops, and EMC
In test cells and switching environments, potential shifts, ground loops, and common-mode interference are common. The galvanic isolation of the IsoBlock V-1c effectively decouples the measurement point from the measurement system and helps prevent unwanted equalizing currents. This keeps the measurement chain stable and reproducible – even with changing earth potential and EMC coupling.

Robust Against Transients and Suitable for DAQ Interfacing
An integrated input protection stage protects the transducer against typical overvoltage events/surges and transients from switching environments. High common-mode rejection supports clean measurement results even with ground-referenced interference. Thanks to the high differential input impedance (range-dependent), the measurement point is only minimally loaded; the output is low-impedance, which facilitates stable transmission to the DAQ input even over longer cable runs.

Integrated Filter – Optional High-Bandwidth Version
After galvanic transfer, the signal is conditioned with filtering for low-noise handover to the acquisition chain. For applications with higher dynamic requirements, a version with increased bandwidth is available as an option.

Field-Proven Mounting and Fast Wiring
For use in control cabinets or test cells, the IsoBlock V-1c can be mounted on a DIN rail. Spring-clamp terminals speed up wiring and improve operational reliability. The module is particularly suitable for inverter and drive test benches, power electronics testing, and industrial high-voltage measurement chains.
