ITECH IT8500: Programmable Electronic DC Load
The ITECH IT8500+ Series comprises single-channel, programmable electronic DC loads for static and dynamic testing of power supplies, batteries, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, and chargers. The power range from 150 W to 3000 W covers applications in development, laboratories, and quality assurance. The series operates as an electronic sink and not as a DC source.
Dynamic Load Testing, Battery Testing, and Protection Tests
CC, CV, CR, and CP operating modes allow constant current, voltage, resistance, and power conditions to be set. Dynamic load changes up to 10 kHz, short-circuit simulations, and programmable load sequences support the testing of power supplies, switching power supplies, batteries, chargers, and LED power supplies. LIST mode enables defined current levels and repeatable test sequences.
OCP and OPP tests support the verification of current and power limits as well as protection shutdowns. During battery testing, the load discharges the DUT according to defined parameters, allowing discharge behavior and shutdown conditions to be evaluated. Up to 100 recurring test sequences can be stored and recalled directly on the instrument. Depending on the model and configuration, USB, RS232, or RS485 interfaces are available for integration into automated test environments.
