ITECH IT6800A/B – Programmable DC Power Supply / DC Source with Dual-Range for Labs, Production & Test Systems

Compact and ready to use
The IT6800A/B series are compact, programmable DC power supplies/DC sources for development and production. They deliver stable DC output with precise voltage regulation and reliably power automated processes—from the lab to series production in test systems. In many cases they replace bench power supplies or switching power supplies and can also be operated as a laboratory power supply in test & measurement.

Dual-Range for maximum flexibility
The Dual-Range function enables fast switching between low and high voltage, current and power. This makes the DC source suitable for a wide test spectrum—from battery simulations and defined current profiles (load profiles) to application-oriented functional tests with DC reference—without changing devices or incurring extra costs.

For automated test sequences
With CV/CC control, the DC sources sweep characteristic curves in a repeatable way. The output timer shortens end-of-line tests and ensures consistent testing on products and systems. Recorded data and information simplify standards-compliant testing.

Interfaces & integration
The IT6800A/B series integrates seamlessly into test systems, test stands and test setups. Standardized interfaces, for example a USB port, reduce setup time and support ATE environments. Remote Sense, low ripple and the monitor software deliver precise results. A low-ohmic, low-noise input with defined input impedance ensures stable measurement conditions. Accessories such as cables, adapters, sensors and devices simplify installation—an advantage for test-stand automation as well as service testing and measurement.

Key benefits
The 1/2-rack format saves space, and operation via rotary knob/keypad speeds setup. Programmable lists and timers support efficient strategies—also in combination with hipot testers as a current source. The programmable power supply thus provides stable power for development, series testing and conformity tests in the test system.

IT6800A vs. IT6800B: The difference at a glance
Both power supply variants deliver the same performance and functionality. The decisive difference lies in the interfaces: IT68xxA comes standard with RS-232 and USB, while IT68xxB additionally offers GPIB (IEEE-488) from the factory. Rule of thumb: If RS-232/USB is sufficient, the IT6800A units are the right choice. If you require GPIB or operate in a corresponding ATE environment, the IT6800B units are more suitable.
