VTI Instruments EX1200 Series: Switching, Measurement, and I/O Functions in a Single Mainframe
The VTI Instruments EX1200 Series consists of modular LXI mainframes designed for automated switching, measurement, and control applications. The functions provided by a mainframe depend on its installed modules.
Select the Mainframe and Modules to Match the Test Application
Depending on the model, the mainframes provide 2, 6, or 16 slots. VTI Instruments offers a range of separately selectable modules for configuration. These include multiplexers, switch matrices, general-purpose and power switches, RF/microwave switches, digital inputs and outputs, as well as signal generation modules.
Data Acquisition with an Optional Digital Multimeter
Depending on the mainframe, the EX1200 Series can be equipped with an integrated 6.5-digit digital multimeter (DMM). Switching and multiplexer modules route measurement points to the DMM via the internal 5-wire analog bus. The scan configuration determines which measurement points the DMM acquires and in what sequence.
How Are Switching, Measurement, and I/O Linked Within the Test Sequence?
The test software issues switching, measurement, and I/O commands in the programmed sequence. For example, it can select a measurement point, trigger a measurement, and then set a digital output. The available functionality depends on the installed modules.
The EX1200 Series provides the configured switching, measurement, and I/O functions, but does not replace external power supplies or electronic loads.
