DC High-Power Supply (Wide Range)
The ITECH IT6502D is a programmable DC power supply from the IT6500 series for test stations in development, laboratory and production environments. With 0 to 80 V, 0 to 60 A and 800 W, the 1U DC power supply provides electronic assemblies, LED drivers, DC/DC converters or automotive electronics with defined DC voltage and current values.
ITECH IT6502D: Autoranging for Varying Voltage and Current Operating Points
With autoranging, the ITECH IT6502D uses its 800 W power range across different voltage and current combinations. At low voltage, it delivers more current; at lower current, it reaches higher voltages. This allows one test station to cover several DC operating points, for example for assemblies with high inrush current or tests with varying supply voltage.
The resolution of 1 mV and 1 mA makes it easier to set and read values accurately.
Remote Sense for Voltage Directly at the DUT
Remote Sense measures the voltage directly at the DUT and compensates for voltage drops on the load leads. This is particularly important when higher currents flow or when the DUT is located further away from the power supply.
Voltage ripple up to 30 mVp-p and current ripple up to 10 mArms support testing when sensitive components need to be operated with the smoothest possible DC supply.
OVP, OCP, OPP, UVP and turn-off protection limit critical conditions in the DC test setup.
Interfaces and LIST Mode for Test Sequences
USB, RS-232, RS-485 and the analog interface integrate the DC power supply into test benches, PC software or PLC-related control systems.
In LIST mode, the power supply stores voltage and current values with defined step times and executes them sequentially, for example for soft-start tests, voltage dips or repeated load cycles.
When the ITECH IT6502D Fits — and When It Does Not
The ITECH IT6502D is suitable when a test station requires a programmable DC source up to 800 W, 80 V and 60 A. For hipot testing, insulation resistance measurements, grid simulation, bidirectional battery emulation or pure load tests, a different device concept is required. The decisive selection criteria are the operating point, load lead length, residual ripple, interface and required test sequence.
Alternative Products
If you need less power but a particularly compact and precise DC supply, the ITECH IT-M3200 DC Precision Power Supply is a suitable alternative. If you need significantly more power, higher voltages or expandable DC test systems, we recommend the ITECH IT6000D Series. If the test station should not only supply power but also operate bidirectionally, the ITECH IT-M3400 Series is a sensible choice.
