Programmable AC/DC Power Supply for Grid Simulation, UPS, and Frequency Converter Tests
ITECH IT7800: AC/DC Test Conditions for Lab, Validation, and Production
The ITECH IT7800 Series is a programmable AC/DC power supply for supply and functional tests on frequency converters, UPS systems, AC motors, AC-DC power supplies, OBCs, and AC/DC charging stations. The instruments provide AC or DC outputs and, when required, reproduce AC signals with a DC component or DC outputs with superimposed ripple.
Reproducing Grid Disturbances and Inrush Behavior
For grid simulation and DUT supply, the IT7800 Series provides output frequencies from 16 to 2400 Hz. Using LIST, SWEEP, and Surge & Sag, users change voltage, frequency, phase, and waveform as a fixed sequence or as a ramp. This makes it possible to evaluate inrush current, grid recovery, short interruptions, voltage dips, and slow ramps at the DUT input.
Harmonics, Waveforms, and Test Data Directly in the Test
The integrated AC power meter shows how voltage, current, and power behave during ramps, interruptions, and changing grid conditions. The series reproduces distorted grid waveforms using harmonic analysis up to the 50th order, built-in waveforms, CSV import, and freely editable curves.
The touchscreen displays up to six voltage and current waveforms, allowing users to assess the course of the test conditions directly on the instrument.
Selecting Power, Phase Mode, and ATE Integration
The model range extends from 2 kVA to 165 kVA and can be expanded to systems up to 960 kVA via master/slave parallel operation. The right configuration depends on output voltage, output current, power, frequency range, and phase mode. For automated test benches, the instruments provide USB, CAN, LAN, digital I/O, and optional GPIB, analog, and RS232 interfaces.
Clear Differentiation From Loads, Hipot Testers, and Regenerative Grid Simulators
The ITECH IT7800 Series supplies DUTs with defined AC/DC conditions. Load tests, hipot tests, or actively regenerative applications require other instrument classes, such as electronic loads, safety testers, or regenerative grid simulators.
Alternative Products
If higher AC voltages are required for three-phase grid simulation, the ITECH IT7800H Series is the suitable high-voltage AC source. For regenerative grid tests, four-quadrant operation, or grid-connected DUTs, consider the ITECH IT7900 Grid Simulator. If the test setup requires a defined AC/DC load instead of a source, the ITECH IT8600 Series is the appropriate instrument class.
